Hello Everyone,

This is my first high-end build. I connected everything according to the manual but when I try to turn on the PC it won't start. The fan inside power supply doesn't move. I did paper clip test without load the fan moved for 2-3 second.

Please suggest how should I go about it now.

are the front case power buttons plugged in the correct spot?
and make sure you have the motherboard standoff in the correct spot because if it detects a short circuit, then no power for the system to prevent damage

No, nothing happened in motherboard, at first I thought there was a problem with PSU but when I did paper clip it moved for like 2-3 sec

I think I'll re-check all the wiring.

I just had this happen to me yesterday building a pc for a friend. I couldn't figure out what was wrong. I took everything off and started from scratch. Including the cpu. Used rubbing alcohol to remove the thermal paste from heat sink and cpu. It's a pain in the butt, but it worked.
Important thing is to stay calm lol, especially as it's your first high end build. Sometimes walk away and come back in an hour. You might see things differently.

Everytime I power it up, it runs for only 2-3 sec and then stops. Please also note that I did this without connecting any kind of load like fan to PSU

Currently I'm not in front of my system but I'll be after an hour.

Everytime I connect and turn on the PSU, the PSU fan runs for a second but I didn't connect cabinet fan or any other independent fan to PSU as a load because I didn't had the wire to do it. Do you really think this new PSU is junked?
