I have a brand new EVGA GTX 1070 SC. It might be my OCD. But there is a very small Hum not sure if it's exactly a whine...doesn't get high pitched or anything. Could just be the sound that it makes when it's powered on.

Anyhow is this normal? or am I being just a little over cautious?

Yeah-

You're over-worrying xD

Reasons why i suggest you don't fill your mind with negative futuristic-nonsense.
1)As time passes, the card gets hotter so the fan increases in speed velocity, (% and rpm)
So when it gets hotter in graphic intensive gaming or editing, it needs more air so with the newer cards genious system for maximum cooling it helps the card continue it's operation. The card's temp is automatically measured from the gpu itself so when it gets hotter it knows what to do

2) I Guess you have the warranty so even more no need to worry

Have a great day,
Tom

Thanks Tom! I know you know the feeling a new toy and you wanna baby it lol. I opened her up again. Just to see if I could spot the sound. Turns out it's the PSU. I need to fasten a screw to the bracket. Or either use some zips.
