this is around it with no one on it. but I also have my router tucked behind the tv is it blocking signal.
I am asking this because I need to know if my internet is fast enough for two xbox ones. but my ping is usually around 40 and my downlad speed is around the same and so is the upload speed.
we will be watching youtube and playing games online together and with friends we already have one but I am wanting one for myself because we fight over it sometimes and I want my own profile

Solution

Cat5e - ethernet cable from the PC to the router.

As far as overall speed? Anything outboard of your house is the ISP's responsibility.
With DSL, it is often hard to pin them down to an actual performance number. But if you're supposed to be getting, for instance 8Mbps, and only seeing 2.5....there is an issue that they need to fix.

yea were in America I think we have one of the cheaper internet coverage things. and I usually get twice that much. though we upgraded it about a year ago and it was really good about twice that much on the bad days but recently the internets been getting worse. we could upgrade I think. what is the amount we need for 2 xbox ones?

1. Move the router from behind the TV
2. Whatever devices you can wire instead of WiFi, do that.
3. Is this cable, DSL, what?
4. What do you pay the ISP for currently?

From that, it seems you have 2 issues:

1. Slow DSL. The only way to fix that is talk to your ISP
2. WiFi seems to be sucking 1/2 that performance.
Move the router from behind the TV, and use Cat5e when ever possible.
