Hi,

I am going to buy my first GPU very soon and my first plan was to go for the MSI RX 480 Gaming X for around 300 euro's, because I'm only going to game on 1080p (maybe a later upgrade to 144Hz 1080p or 1440p?). However, I can buy a Sapphire R9 Fury for 355 euro's. So my question:

- Is the 4GB HBM enough for the upcoming years, for 1080p or 1440p?
- It the price difference worth it when I will be gaming on 1080p?

Since the RX 480 fits between the R9 390 and the R9 390X, I think it'll be fine for 1080p.

If you want more raw power for 1440p 60Hz+ then I'd recommend the Fury.

1.) 4GB HBM will be plenty for a few more years. By the time that 4GB isn't enough, the Fury will already be completely obsolete.

2.) For 1080p, I don't think it's worth the extra price premium. For 1440p, I would recommend the Fury.
