Hi

I'm getting blue screen'd randomly with the error WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR. It happens when I play games and when I browse YouTube it doesn't seem to be at any particular point.

I've heard it could be related to the CPU but I don't really have a clue...

Things I've tried:

  • Updated drivers
    Reinstall Windows
    Reset BIOS
    Updated BIOS

PC Specs:

  • MOBO: ASUS Z87-PRO, Socket-1150
    RAM: G.Skill TridentX Series
    CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K
    SSD: Samsung 840 EVO
    CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-U12S
    PSU: Corsair RM750
    GFX: MSI GTX 770

Here is a screenshot of BlueScreenViewer

Any ideas?

From what I have read on Hal.dll it a vague description of whats wrong, but if you have your processor overclocked set it down to stock clock first, could have become unstable , do a ram test see if one of the modules has went kapuut ( dead) also check and see if nvidia has had a driver crash. then it could be a Graphics card issue. this is a matter of tracking down the problem. one step at a time.

CPU is not overclocked and has never been.

Here are some stats of the CPU etc.

I did a RAM test and everything seems fine.

How do I check if the Nvidia drivers crashed?

The driver crash will show up in your windows event viewer. should anyway. only other way to find out is reinstall the graphics driver and see if that fixes it ,I had a video card go out once, tracked the problem down through the windows event viewer first tested the driver that didnt work ,,,, what would happen is ,, the screen would just go black but I could still hear sound for a second or two possibly 10 to 15 seconds then the pc would crash entirely. youtube videos will show this problem the best as you can see if you can still hear it,, however if the crash is instant ,, honestly its hard to tell.

I can't seem to find anything about a driver crashing in the event log but I found this:

I just reset everything by using "Default Settings" shouldn't that make it auto voltage?
