I recently built my PC a month back and everything was working as intended. However a few days back, I began to see split second freezes when I watch videos or even when am in-game.The freezes don't require a shut down, and after the freeze everything goes back to normal .The freezes were very rare and barely noticeable because they would last around 1 second but am just worried that something wrong happened or is about to happen. Is there a way that i can find the source of this problem and how would i fix it?

Specs:
GPU: EVGA SC GTX970 ACX 2.0 (35c idle and 77c on load)
CPU: i5-6600k @ 3.5GHz ( 22c idle and 45c on load)
Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory
OS: Windows 10
Resolution: 1920x1080 60Hz
Storage: Toshiba HDWD120 2TB & Samsung 850 EVO

Hi there Cylon-95,

I believe all the drivers are up to data right?(GPU as well)

Apart from that, you can:
- Test your RAM. You can even take one of the RAM sticks out. In case the issue persists, try using the other one.
- Observe Resource Monitor and see what happens during these freezes.
- Test both your SSD and HDD.

Let me know how this goes,

Hi D_Know_WD
This morning I did found a driver update for my GPU that was released after I posted this thread, so far its been one day and no freezes occurred, I have task manager and Resource Monitor open in case any freezes appear. I will update this if any freezes aspire, thank you for you time!

Update: Freezes started to occur again and one lasted for almost 2 seconds. The freezes are still rare though, about 3-2 a day, some days there are no freezes. I checked my HDD and SSD, both are in good status according to CrystaldiskInfo and Samsung Magician, I checked my drivers, and all are up to date. Also, when I checked Resource Manager after the freezes, nothing looked "out of place." I saved a MSI afterburner Log file of the 2 second freeze but am not sure what to look for in terms of odd spikes. I ran the Windows Memory Diagnostics for 8 passes and no errors.I also scanned my computer for viruses or malware and none were found. Am starting to think that maybe one of my memory sticks is bad, am cleaning my computer soon and am going to try taking out the RAM sticks and checking for anything out of place, any thoughts on what else can cause such freezes:??:?
