Ram detected in CPU-z but not windows

So I recently bought this Acer desktop from bestbuy: http://www.acer.com/ac/en/CA/content/model/DT.B15AA.011

It comes with 8gb DDR3 DIMM installed, and I upgraded to 16gb with this single 8gb Corsair vengeance stick: http://www.corsair.com/en/vengeance-8gb-ddr3-memory-kit-cmz8gx3m1a1600c10

My issue is that on CPU-Z, it shows I have 16GB installed, but windows and BIOS shows that I only have 8gb.

Try the new stick by itself and see if it boots, if not it's prob not compatible, if it does and then won't with the old inserted the sticks prob aren't compatible with each other - could check for a newer BIOS but don't hold your breath. Never a good idea to mix packages of DRAM

Ok I tried just the Corsair by itself and it made beeping sound when I plugged the power in. So this means that stick isn't compatible with the mobo right?

Is there anyway to find an upgrade that will be compatible?

Either not compatible or just a bad stick - Can't find specs on the DRAM what's the model # of the old RAM
