Hey everyone, I have a really weird issue going on in my desktop PC.
NOTE: Full specs will be listed at the bottom
Since a couple of days ago, my computer won't shutdown correctly, i.e: (windows 10) if I choose the shutdown option, it will shutdown normally, then the hard drives would turn off, but then the computer would be still on, fans still running, lights still blinking, etc.
If I choose to restart, the computer does not reach the point where the hard drive stops, and it freezes at the restarting animation (The small dots going in circles freeze), with the HDD activity light on.
So my only choice to power down, is to hold the power button to force it to stop.
I first thought it might be a software problem, so I ran an ubuntu live usb, which was able to shut down properly.
I then thought it was my ram, so I ran memtest86 and it gave me 900+ errors, which is weird, since I've never had a BSOD or any sign of ram failure before. I ran tests on each ram stick (2 units) for separate, in each ram slot, and It kept giving me errors.
I also thought it could be the PSU, but I don't have a tester, nor a spare PSU to check.
Any thoughts or ideas would be really helpful !!
Thanks a lot !
