Have you tried reinstalling the graphics card driver?
Have you tried to reseat the graphics card?
At the looks of it, it's something to do with the driver for the GPU and the Nvidia Control Panel (Maybe a file could've become corrupt?)
Try those 2 options and update me, it will most likely be the software.
I've tried reinstalling but the installer doesn't even pick up the card, as if the hardware itself doesn't function anymore.
How would I go about resetting it?
I'm guessing you mean reseating it. But i'll try my best to explain, but there are good guides out there.
You will probably know how to get inside the case its self, and you will probably notice the graphics card straight away.
Depending on your motherboard it will have a different way to hold it in place, most are like a lever, if you can locate this, press that down and it should unlock your GPU from the motherboard, gently wiggle it and see if it comes out (Never pull it as it can damage it if you have not done it correctly), and if it comes out, successfully, all you have to do (Unless you want to clean the sockets, in which case, use an anti-static cloth or something similar to just gently wipe the pin connectors on the graphics card and in the socket (If possible)), if not, then all you have to do is gently press the graphics card in the same position is was in originally, until the lever-type-thingy latches onto the graphics card and locks it in place.
Also - Ensure that the PSU power cable is disconnected or turned off as well as the computer.
If you don't understand my wording (I apologise), just search "How to reseat a graphics card", and there are plenty of videos and tutorials to show you how to do it.
Hope I helped.
Have a great day!
- Dom.
