my mobo its a matx asus max 8 gene. i currently have 2 memory stick on my pc and are planing to add two more. i just want to know should i just buy 2 memory stick same as the one i currently have, or i need to buy another 4 stick all together?

If you install four matching memory sticks, you still have dual channels, but simply have more memory. Installing into all four slots does not double your memory channels, you will still only have single or dual channel modes of operation. Does this help?
