hi guys , i have a question , will the asus rog strix x99 gaming work with Intel Skylake, Core i7 6700K and with Asus NVIDIA STRIX-GTX1080-O8G-GAMING, GTX 1080, GDDR5X 8GB, 256bit? if not please tell me what motherboard should i use instead , thanks.

Solution
The I7 6700K is an LGA1151 Socket, and the Asus ROG STRIX x99 Gaming is an LGA-2011v3 Socket. So no, it would not work. I would recommend something along the lines of the Z170, I am guessing you know that the x99 board will need DDR4, so will this one:

No worries, the Z170 board allows overclocking so it will go well with the overclockable 6700k, so no worries about that!

Glad I could help!

Have a great day!
