So i have a pc and i want to uprade its gpu. the specs would be

GTT MIDITOWER ATX 500W/HAVANA 535R 500W
Asus H110M Intel H110 DDR4 32GB
Intel Core i3-6100 BOX 3.7GHz/3MB
Crucial 8GB Ballistix DDR4-2400 UDIMM
Integral P4 SSD 120GB 2,5 SATA3
HDD Seagate Barracuda 3.5" 1TB 7200RPM
SAMSUNG DVD RW 24X SH-224GB
msi gtx 960 4gb

so would the psu be enough?

500W Would be more than enough, so that is nothing to worry about. I have a 970 with a 550W PSU and it doesn't even get near to being held back due to not enough voltage etc.

Hope I helped!

Have a great day,

- Dom.

Are you on a budget? And if so, what is it?

Are you familiar with the Fully, Semi and Non-Modular PSUs? - Don't get scared if it sounds complicated, it is generally quite simple and there are many guides out there!

I have the EVGA Supernova 550W Gold-Rated PSU, which is fully modular.

I would recommend some sort of Gold Rated PSU.

Because your budget is quite low, there is no harm with going for a Bronze-Rated PSU, as said above is a great example, although people say to stay away from Bronze-Rated and the CX series from Corsair, after owning a couple of them I have had no issues or deaths of the PSU. And because it is a 550W PSU, it will withhold of power for your system.

Also, you could get a 6-pin to 8-pin adapter. I believe the extra 2 pins are for grounding, so it is and isn't needed, but it is recommended. Many "8-pin" cables are 6+2 pins.

If I have read it up correctly, it only needs a single 6-pin connection, so no it doesn't!
