Thinking to buy a new system. Some of the builds are between a 1070 and a 1080. What do the gamers think? I currently have a 760 in my system and it runs everything.

Thanks,

Now I just need to fix the Windows 10 black screen coming on and computer still running. This all started on August 13?

Solution
Depends on your budget.

Both are extremely good cards, and are the best Nvidia cards out there yet. But the price difference is huge.

Both of these cards will be able to run basically every game, on maximum settings and still have a lot of usage left in them.

I would personally go for a 1070 and save a little money (But that's me, I like saving money ;) - I'm somewhat of a cheapskate) If you save money and maybe go for a 1060 or 1070 (The 1060 runs the same as a 980, so can still run practically everything at maximum settings))

Also, if you go for a 1070 (If you don't have one already) you could probably purchase a great 144Hz Monitor along with the 1070 for some really good quality!

Hope I helped!

Have a great day!

Thanks Fear for the answer, very helpful. I was looking at the digital storm builds of computers, and they had both cards, I am having a black screen problem right now with my 760 gpu. Not sure why the system is doing this with the monitor and Windows 10

Thanks for helping

No problem, glad I could help!

The black screen issue I'm not too sure why is happening, so apologies for that!

I would try creating a new thread directly for that issue, and maybe someone who knows more about it can help you.

But have a great day!

Hi Guys, I've already build my pc.

Please help.

The specs are as they follow.

Processor - i7 6850k
Motherboard - Asus RAMPAGE v Edition 10
Graphic Card - MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X
RAM - Corsair dominator platinum 32GB 3200MZ
SSD - 500GB Samsung Evo 850
HDD - 2TB Seagate 6GB p/s
Monitor - Acer Predator XB241H
Power supply - Corsair HX1000i
Cooler - Corsair H115i
Case - Corsair 760T
Windows - Windows 10 PRO

Now the problem that I'm facing here is while I play CS:GO, my fps is running good at about 400+, The real problem here is that its freezing. Like literally it gets stuck for about 1 second in middle of the game. Please help? I've tried everything. Today I think I will be re-installing the entire windows. Any help? Very disheartened with the build :(
