I'm finding it difficult to get a proper answer as to what the differences in power consumption and general heat output are between the 480 and 1060. I currently have a 270x which I feel draws a fair bit of power according to my energy meter. For my upgrade, I would prefer a cooler/less power hungry card. Which card is cooler/more power efficient and how big is the difference?
On a side note, I recently changed my FX8350 CPU out for an i5 6500 and am loving how much cooler the case is in general. Also, much lower power usage.
