Hey there people, I've been a console gamer my whole life and recently, now that I make my own money, I decided to try out and see if the master race life is for me. The problem is that I know very basic stuff about GPUs and CPUs and absolutely nothing about power supplies and coolers etc.
A year and something ago I bought a new desktop (I'll give details on the specs) and it's actually a decent machine and even plays some games really well too, but I was looking to see if I could put a good GPU in it and really push it to the next level.
I wanted one I could just snap in there though, like open the case and connect it to the PCI slot without having to buy another power supply, cooler or whatever. So that's what I wanted to ask, what GPUs would you guys recommend given my situation?

That's the desktop I got:

Asus M32

AMD A6-6400K APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics 3.90 GHz
* AMD Radeon HD 8470D
* 8.00 GB DDR3

Solution
Well, it can run all 2016 games at medium-low settings at 1080p, at around 50-60FPS.
2015, medium at 1080p, at around 50-60FPS.
2014, medium-high at 1080p, at around 50-60FPS.
2013, high at 1080p, at around 50-60FPS.

Assuming the CPU isn't holding it back that is, will depend heavily on the game.
So, one problem is your CPU is actually fairly weak overall, so even if you add a GPU you may still experience issues where the CPU is the limiting factor.

But you can get Nvidia GTX 750tis and many of them don't require any additional power connectors.

As long as your desktop looks like this one, height issues aren't a concern: https://www.asus.com/us/Tower-PCs/M32AD/

Thanks for the answer mate. You got my desktop right, that's the one. I know the CPU isn't top of the line, but say if I went with the nvidia card you recommended, what kind of performance can I expect? If you don't mind me asking.

Alright bud thanks for all the help. I'll go with that card, it's just a small upgrade anyway. If I really get into it I'll look into building a setup myself.
