Hi
I picked up a used EVGA Nvidia GTX 480 for $40 just so my son and I could play no Mans Sky. It works fairly well. But I would like to increase the graphics and gameplay without spending too much money. For one, we both game on our Xbox One's so I will not be buying any games that are available on Xbox One on the PC. The only games I may purchase are ones that are single player like the remaster of Bioshock etc. So I don't want to go crazy as it wont get used much.

Question: Should I just keep the GTX 480, assuming it might run the remastered Bioshocks?
Or get a better card?

My budget is around $50 to $150 dollars CAD, and I would only purchase from stores like canadacomputers (that is my go to store)

I'm confused because for example I look at canadacomputers and see this card ASUS 710-2-SL-CSM GeForce GT710 2GB DDR3 http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=43_1200_557_559&item_id=094032

since is a GT710 with 2GB RAM I figured it must be better than the GTX480 1.5GB RAM but when I check gamedebate it can't run no Mans Sky. So how do I know which cards are better than others? Was also thinking of the MSI GTX 750 TI windoforce OC edition as I can get a used one for $75 which I thought was better than my GTX480 but when I check gamedebate it says it cannot run No Mans Sky

My specs are

The GTX 480 will outrun the GT 710 by a big margin. GT label is for lower-end cards and GTX cards are more powerfull mainly used for gaming. In the first number in a card eg GTX '4'80 denotes the generation of the card and the second number i.e 8 is the perfromance of the card. The Ti cards for example the GTX 750 ti is more powerful than the normal Gtx 750. Therefore the GTX 650 would be faster than the GTX 730 by a slight margin. For AMD eg Radeon 5450 - 5 stands for the generation and 450 stands for the power.
