I've settled on the GTX 970 MSI 4/3.5GB GPU, but now I need a processor to pair it with that will provide good gaming performance without being a heavy bottleneck to the 970. I won't be doing any heavy 3d work or video rendering, the system is going to be purely for gaming (recent releases such as watchdogs, no man's sky, witcher 3, etc). I'll be working with a gigabyte GA-Z170-HD3P skylake supporting motherboard and 16GB ddr4 RAM.
I have my eye on the skylake CPU's, but the price of the i7 6700k is a bit too much than I'd like to spend overall.
Can you recommend me a good processor from intel that's ideally reasonably cheap, but that will allow me to game at 1080p 60 fps while doing basic multitasking like having skype calls active, steam open, maybe potentially screen recording, but not much beyond that.
