Hi, just completed a new build which includes a 6600k. I've found 4.2ghz to be stable at 1.250 vcore. I know it's modest but that's all I'm really looking for.
My question is how do I enable intel speedstep so that during idle the cpu drops back down to base frequency (3.5ghz) and lowered vcore? Currently CPU-z shows that vcore/freq remain at 1.25v/4200mhz constantly.
I've tried enabling turbo boost & speedstep but there's no step down.
I'm using:
6600k
Asus Maximus Ranger VIII Z170
Dark Rock Slim Cooler
Corsair rm650x
