I upgraded from an r9 290 to a gtx 1080 a couple of months ago, and i have noticed now that all of the nvidia cards gain little to no benefit from dx12, were as even the older amd cards gain massive performance increases. Is this just a case of dx12 being young and poorly optomized for nvidia cards? Will it get better once more titles come out and it becomes more Mainstream? this makes me consider selling my 1080 while i can and waiting for the vega cards. What do you guys think?

What games are you playing? There's only like four DirectX 12 games, and only about two that anyone plays. But ultimately, the GTX 1080 does just fine in DirectX 12, particularly if you get away from AMD sponsored titles optimized to favor AMD cards.

I fooled around with the w 10 for dx 12 and didn't see any performance gain but did noticed that dx 12 is poorly optimized for sli abilities and those who think that gpus will stack vram using dx 12 isn't true you're still got 8 gigs of vram it's just shared between the 2
