Hi guys, got a issue here. I have been building my computer for the last 2 weeks and just needed to add a graphics card. I ordered it, installed it in the right PCI slot ( PCI E2 x16 ). It lights up but isn't detected by my computer. When trying to install the driver ( win 8.1 64bit ) it's giving me an error about a compatible issue. Tried many things such as changing BIOS settings, reseating graphics card, updating my Operating System etc but with no success. My motherboard is MSI Z170A KRAIT GAMING and the graphics card is MSI GeForce GTX 1060 GAMING 6G.

Is someone able to give me an explanation about this issue ? If not, I will send this graphics card back to where it came from to see if it's the graphics card.

Thanks in advance!

Solution
Make sure you have plug in the 8 pin slot on the GTX 1060 and that the monitor is directly connected to the GTX 1060's display ports, not the motherboard's.
