I'm looking to spend around 650 on building a PC that will allow myself to play games for at least 2 years (not upgrading anything besides maybe ram). I know I wont be able to play on high settings for very long with this build which is fine. Any advice on what to change?

Wow this thread is a mess.

Why do you want a Z170 board? Without a K processor its a waste of money.

This right here is the same price, but faster processor, dual channel memory, and a 4gb GTX 960 which is still a decent card at $200. This is a good mid range gaming system that should last you a good while.

Im not worried about the crossfire support. I originally had a msi Z170A with sli but am not to worried about sli compatability. Unless i should be. this motherboard was simply cheaper than the msi. I just want a Z170

Wanted a nvidia graphics card. Budget is a concern however so i might have to look into getting AMD graphics

when u r not upgrading, when u are not going to go for extra gpu, and when u dont have a unlocked chip, why go for a ATX z170, when u can get a much better board at that price???
the z170 boards are more useful when overclocking, where u need an unlocked cpu...
