Hello,
Obviously a total noob here. I am an avid sneakerhead and I am putting together a system that will have 4 monitors all running a purchase page. Due to heavy traffic, these pages frequently get bogged down. I am wondering if it makes sense to go after an i7-6900k or the i7-6850k? The 6900K has 8 cores, but a slightly lower clock speed than the 6850K with its 6 cores. Basically, when running 4 monitors with purchase server pages, are multiple cores even utilized? I guess if not, then I should go with the fastest clock speed since only one core is utilized. Again, please be patient with me. Many thanks in advance.

The question is on YOUR side. You can't make the server any faster by making your computer faster. A single i3 is enough for web pages, just get a 750Ti so you can run 4 monitors at the same time.

Even if these web pages are a bit more intensive than typical browsing? I mean there are 1000s of hits all attacking the server/purchase page at once? So even with my 4 monitors going at once trying to buy, I don't use more than a single core?

Thank you.
