Hi guys, I am planning on upgrading my gtx 550ti to gtx 970. Would my processor bottleneck the gtx 970? I mostly play games like overwatch, lol, and wows and I don't really have a need to play anything higher than 1080.

Solution
The I5-2320 is quite an old processor, being released late in 2011, which means it may be inefficient for modern games, but lets get onto topic.

A GTX 970 is a relatively powerful card, and it will be able to run games on 1080p and 60fps, as long as there is no bottlenecking.

In certain games at certain points, there may be times of bottlenecking with the 2320, although it will boost to 3.3GHz, this may still be the issue.

Overall, if you find to be affecting by bottlenecking, you could just turn the settings down, but 1080p will be no issue for a 970.
