Bad Flash Motherboard powers on then off almost instantly

Hi All,

I purposely flashed my board with the bios from the p8p67 LE while I have a p8p67 Pro. Since the LE had 2 newer revisions than my board I was trying to see if flashing with that bios would resolve a separate issue with my PCIE NVME card and 4th ram slot. Anyways, fast forward a few weeks, and here's the testing I've done.

After the flash machine posted and started to boot, when booting windows it hung BSOD (can't remember now), and I had to power off.

Powering on, it did not work again and it just ended up powering off immediately afterward.

Looking for some suggestions here... Here's the troubleshooting I did.

Ordered new BIOS chip from BIOS depot
-Replaced chip ( no dice)
-Disconnected all components and removed all SATA cables
-Tried a diff PSU
-Cardboard tested the mobo for shorts
-Inspected for any burns ect that could have happen

Nothing seems to work.

I'm open to suggestions before I give up and just upgrade to skylake and RIP my sandybridge.

If you open your motherboard manual to page 3-34 you'll see your board supports Crash Free BIOS which in essence means you can recover the BIOS with the aid of a USB drive with the BIOS file on its main directory. I would, however, ask you to take the previous statement with a grain of salt since you tampered with the BIOS chip. The worst case scenario is that the board is dead and the system is more a paper weight at this point while you've learned that you should only use BIOS meant for that particular board.

Please get back to us.
