Hello people,

Would it be possible to add a solid state drive to my Dell Latitude E6540 without replacing HDD or optical drive? Is there a third way to add it in, because I would like to keep both my HDD and optical drive?
So, I'd like to know where on the motherboard can I put the new SSD? As far as I know, there's a workaround with the smaller SSDs - mSATA (correct me if I'm wrong) which can be put somewhere, so hdd and optical drive stay intact. This will work, as long as it doesn't replace wireless, which I apparently need. So, I'd like to be provided with details such as: which SSD should I buy, how to install it and similar.

Hopefully the question was clear, if you want any additional info please ask, I'll be glad to provide. Thanks in advance for help.

There are 2 ways

1- you can use your WIFI card slot for the SSD and use a USB WIFI .. you will need PCIe SSD for this .

2- You can Mod your notebook and add an M2 SSD to it by connecting it to USB3 port using USB3 to M2 bridge .. but this is not easy for beginners.
