Hello guys, I like to thanks in advance to everyone that offer to help me. This is my problem, I recently made a build around the Asus P8Z77 V-Pro MoBO + i5 2500k + Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB CMZ8GX3M2A1600CB9. At start everything was working as expected, when I start ram was running at 1333mhz so I change the frequency 1600mhz without setting X.M.P only changed the frequency and it worked perfect for 2 weeks, till I decided to test out the extreme profile from the EZ mode on the BIOS. After that, the memory frequency set to 1333mhz again so I turned back to normal profile of Ez mode again and since then I haven't been able to set the frequency back to 1600mhz without getting the error, no matter what I do. It keep telling me "overclock fail, change the memory setting on the bios", so I need to press the memory button on the MoBo and set back the frequency to 1333mhz to be able to run the PC. If I try to set X.M.P I got the same error, if I do it manually same outcome. Trust me guys I know there’s lots of post about this on this forum and I have spent hours reading without finding a solution to my case. Appreciate your help.

Thanks Zerk2012 and Trademan1 for fast response, I have already update the BIOS to the latest version, I have already set X.P.S profile on the AiTweeker in the BIOS and also tried to set manually the values but I keep getting the same error. Every time I set frequency to 1600mhz as soon as I save the changes the red led lights in the MoBo and I need to press and hold the memory button on the board to reset the memory values to default and lauch the BIOS again. It always says "Overclock failed, Memory is ok". I have also remove the battery on the MoBo for a few minutes trying to totally reset the BIOS and still don't work. I wonder if is possible that the battery is not working well and may be causing the issues, that’s something I haven’t replace.

Yes, the CPU is at stock, I haven't change the stock fan yet so I've never tried overclock. I did what you said, set X.M.P profile and raised the DRAM Voltage to "1.56". It was at 1.5 by the X.M.P profile, but It didn't work :(. I got the same error.

Tradesman1, man I tried everything you said, first I tried each one individually and I got the same error on both of them with X.M.P Profile, then I raised VCCSA voltage +0.05 on X.M.P profile without any luck, then I tried both DRAM voltage +0.06 plus VCCSA voltage +0.05 and nothing. Im going to add a link of a couple of pictures I took with my phone of the Ai Tweaker screen so you guys can see by your own eye what I did.

I bought this set 2/3 month ago, unfortunately at the moment I can't try on another Mobo, but I don't think is a compatibility problem coz like I said in my first post, at start it's was working at 1600 MHz for 2 weeks perfectly. The problem started after I try the extreme profile on my MoBo. Which only last like 30 seconds till I noticed it reduced the memory frequency.

I saw someone say reset the BIOS but im pretty sure they meant reset the CMOS. Resetting it will restore the UEFI to factory presets. By pressing F5 in the UEFI will also restore defaults. Also 2104 is the latest BIOS revision if your board has a previous version than i recommend updating. I had some issues with 1805 or 1908 or both( i cant really remember) with the same motherboard.

i cant speak with regards to increasing VCCSA voltage. If you do plan on tweaking some settings Try Either Manual or Auto instead of XMP. Make sure the timings are Auto as well. From what i have tested the timings are the same as XMP for most memory kits with that MB. Changing the Voltage to as long as it is under 1.65 may help stability with tighter timings.

Memtest86 has proven effective in exposing a faulty DIMM. If you can boot into windows there is a few utilities to test stability of the frequency and timings. (ie Prime95, Aida64)

Well Yeah I did reset the CMOS but that didn't work. This method they share on the other post just wipe the whole thing and makel a clean installation of the UEFI BIOS. Also the app is from American Megatrend that gave me confidence.

I will try to tweak a bit my CPU, but first I need to get a better fan coz Im using stock ATM.
