Will this PC be enough for 1080p Gaming?

So next month I will be getting components to build a PC with these specs -

AMD FX-8370 Eight Core CPU
ASUS® SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0
16GB HyperX FURY DUAL-DDR3 1600MHz
x2 4GB AMD RADEON™ R9 380X
x2 1TB SEAGATE 3.5" SSHD, SATA 6Gb/s 7200 RPM
240GB HYPER-X PREDATOR PCIe SSD
CORSAIR 1000W RMx SERIES
Corsair H55 Hydro Cooler

I was wondering if these specs would suffice when gaming at mainly 1080p with upcoming 'next-gen' games.

It has to be an amd build, I should have noted that I plan to keep this build for about a year - and then give it to my friend as a gift if you will (and he strictly uses amd only products, don't ask me why)

So I just wanted some more clarity on whether or not this rig could hold up against games in a years time.

My own personal build will be intel x nvidia.
