Apologies for the "time sensitive" bit in post title, but I need an answer quickly. I need to make this purchase ASAP (as in the next couple hours) to meet a deadline on a project im working on.

So, here's my situation. I have two options, and need advice on which route I should take. Basically, I'm looking for best performance, reliability, etc. out of these two options.

Option 1: (1x) Samsung 850 Evo 250GB

Option 2: (2x) I purchase two of thesePNY 120GB SSD and run them in a RAID 0 array.

Unfortunately, my budget is no more than $100. Additionally, I HAVE to buy local (my options being Best Buy or Office Depot) as I need this in hand TODAY. If you're interested in making a suggestion that involves neither of the above products, it has to be something in stock at my local best buy or office depot (zip code 32940).

Thank you all very much for the help!

For anyone interested, here is a comparison of the two drives in question on newegg to make it easier for anyone wanting to see specs of the drives. Click Here for Compare

Option 1 by 10000%.

For one, the Samsung drives are much better performance and longer lasting

For 2, Raid 0 for SSD gets you only marginal gains for day to day use, while having the significantly higher percentage of data loss.
About the only time where RAID 0 SSDs will shine is when transferring from SSD array to SSD array, then yeah it is crazy fast.

So in nutshell: very little to gain, a lot to loose
