Is disabling windows event log safe?

Solution
sorry meant disable not delete.

it has no effect on any programs and is perfectly safe to disable. if i recall right, error reporting to MS depends on it and can also be safely disabled. when you disable it will tell you if anything else needs it so you know what to disable. do not know what version of windows you are using so can't say for sure what depends on it. win 10 has made a lot more stuff interdependent so it is trickier to disable. but win 7 and below has no issues for sure.

no problem deleting it. it is helpful if trying to diagnose problems but otherwise it can be safely disabled. a couple services depend on it so they also will have ot be deleted. nothing important though just a couple things that also save log files like this
