Hello,

I am looking for a good USB wireless adapter for gaming. The adapter will have to be compatible with Windows 10 as well. I have just bought a new computer which has not got a PCI-E slot so an internal adapter is not possible. I am currently using a power line adapter, but it is not getting the speeds that I would like. In my old computer, I was using a PCI-E wireless card and it was getting good speeds.

I have already been recommended the Asus USB-AC56, but it is expensive. If no other can be found then I will probably go with that one.

Any recommendations are appreciated.
Many thanks.

Unfortunately, a USB wifi adapter that's going to be reliable & stable while having pretty decent driver support, it's going to be (relatively) expensive.

I have the AC55 myself, and I equal my wired speeds with it frequently, albeit at a relatively short 20ft distance with no obstructions. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16833320216

It can be had for $29 after rebate!

You're not going to find anything as well performing for under $30.
Anything <$50 usually is getting into 'off brand', 'no-name' pieces with somewhere between horrible & non-existent driver support.
