Can't get DDR2 1066 running at 1066

My system:
Mobo: Asus P5QC
CPU: Q9550
RAM: 2x2GB Corsair XMS2 DDR2 1066
PSU: Bequiet SP7 450
HDD: 1 SSD, 2 7200 RPM, 1 5400RPM
VGA: Geforce GTX750Ti KalmX

If I leave the bios on its default settings, RAM works ok but only at 800. If I manually set frequency at 1066, timings and voltage suggested by the manufacturer (5.5.5.15, 2.1V), my system works too but at boot it restarts once. Turns on, turns off and then restarts.

I previously had an E7500 CPU which I've replaced with the Q9550 and the manual settings for the RAM worked perfectly with that.

Anybody could help? Thanks.

EDIT: I forgot to mention: this only happens if the computer is left off power for some time. If I boot then restart or if I shut down but leave the computer plugged and re-boot, this doesn't happen.

I'm not sure I understood. If I change it from "Auto", the min value is 1.10V: so you're saying I should set it to, like, 1.16 or 1.18?

Doesn't work. I've tried setting the NB Voltage to both 1.16 and 1.18. With 1.16 it restarts by itself after shutting down. Now I've booted with it at 1.18 and it gave me the problem I've described in the first post. The other values I've changed are DRAM Frequency to 1066, first 4 timings to 5.5.5.15 and DRAM Voltage to 2.1V.

Besides, I don't understand why it worked with the E7500 with the exact same settings.

You mean the CPU's? 1333. If you meant something else, I have everything on "Auto" except the values I've explicitly mentioned above.

EDIT: I don't know if it's relevant, but with the E7500, once I've entered the BIOS settings for the RAM, CPU-Z showed an FSB:DRAM ratio of 1:2; now with the Q9550, same manual BIOS settings, it's 5:8.
