I currently have a ASUS MAXIMUS VII HERO LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA Motherboard, Intel Core i7-4790K Haswell Quad-Core 4.0GHz LGA 1, and an ASUS GTX770-DC2OC-2GD5 G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX graphics card. I'm not much into hardward, so not sure what all is with compatibility these days.

I'm looking to get a MSI GeForce GTX 980TI GAMING 6G LE to drop in my PC. I assume it will be fine? Can I keep my old vid card in as well, or just have the newest one?

Thank you for any assistance.

Yes, upgrading from GTX 770 to GTX 980ti will bring a lot more performance. However, I would recommend GTX 1070, or even GTX 1080 if you have the money.

What monitor do you have?
What power supply do you have?
