Ok so the long and short of it is that I live in smack in the middle of California and I've just opened up the side of my bedroom for a remodel, which is taking longer than expected. Now seeing that I keep my gaming pc in my bedroom and the temperatures here in California often exceed 100 Degrees F, I have problems(And No I cannot move my PC) so my main problem is that my graphics card now idle's about 60C and I'm pretty sure that's not the healthiest thing for it, so I am wondering what I can do to cool it down. I have already done cable management, maxed out all of my case fans, and clean the dust out of my pc every week(yes it builds up that fast), Ive considered modifying the GPU Fan curve but I've been told that that is a dangerous thing to do. Now I really dont wanna burn up my GPU. So my question for you guys is how the heck am I gonna cool this thing. (without spending a fortune)

Thanks

I use these in a pinch... throws 100 times more air than a case fan and you can use it on you when the task is done.

And no, there's no worries w/ adjusting the fan curve to cool more. Your ambient is getting close to 40C ... + 20C is not at all unusual for an idle temp back then. Your main problem is ambient temp ... thermal paste, more case fans, isn't going to help.

Your main task is moving more air thru the heat sink ... a faster fan speed will do that. 2nd most of stopping excess heat from building up in case.... a desk or window fan will do that.

replace thermal paste and create a custom fan curve. a fan curve wont do anything to the GPU apart from making the fans run faster. you can also find spare case fans and mount them near the GPU
