Upgraded old graphics card to Rx 470. After plugging everything in, I get a black screen on boot, no option to enter BIOS either. Card fans spin so doesn't seem to be DOA. I can take it out and boot with onboard graphics or the old card fine. Tried updating BIOS. Not sure what to do now, should I dish out a couple hundred more for a new Mobo+CPU+ram (which are all pretty outdated)

Solution
OEM motherboards tend to have a lot more issues with newer cards than custom ones. You may need to go back a generation or two of video card for it to work. That power supply will run the card with no issues.

Okay. Thanks for the advice. I think what I'll do is hold onto the video card until I upgrade the motherboard/cpu/ram later.
