input lag in games

Over the past few days I have noticed an increase of input lag when moving around in games. This only affects my mouse. It happens in every game. My mouse is a Zalman m300.

Would I see better responsiveness if I upgraded to say a Logitech G502?

I'm kinda thinking it could just be the mouse because there's no unusual fluctuations in CPU load when playing games.

Specs:
GTX 1080 ASUS STRIX
I5 6000K
8GB RAM
1TB HDD
128GB SSD

Have you tried turning off VSYNC on your games ?

What type of games are you running here?
In Steam for example: make sure that "turn off in steam overlay" is turned off to see if that makes any difference: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3168263

Games mainly consist of BF4, Gmod, CS:GO and GTAV. I have Vsync disabled even in the control pannel.

The overlay thing didn't really work but thanks

BF4:
You can fix the keyboard lag (it's also known on 8)
(i) Open Control Panel
(ii) Click on "Ease of Access"
(iii) Click on "Set up Filter keys"
(iv) Click the Turn off Filter keys Check Box
