Hello there. A few months ago my PC stopped working and I've been saving up money in order to repair it. The issue that occurred was one time I turned on my PC, it sounded like it booted up but none of the USBs worked(mouse/keyboard) and I got nothing from the display. The fan started up but I couldn't get anything else working.

I brought in my PC for diagnostic a few weeks ago, and the tech was able to determine that the motherboard wasn't sending electrical signals, and that CPU had a 50% of being fried as well.

I'm looking to replace the mother board for sure, but was thinking that I might as well get a new CPU as well. So my question is, do you guys have recommendations based off my specs for new parts? Or if there is a good way to determine what parts are compatible? Thank you very much for all your help.

1| Change the PSU since it's the bane of any PSU's existence.
2| The AIO will not be enough to deal with the heat your processor dumps, you should look at a high end air cooler like the Cryorig R1 Ultimate.
3| If you want to keep the processor as is then the cooler's recommendation stands and you should go for a board that supports the processor, namely the Asus 970 Gaming Aura.

We're going all out in terms of sourcing parts but don't know how much your budget for said parts really are. In fact it might even be worth while going towards Intel since the heat dump would be lower and the compute power would be immensely better. Since you are dealing with a pseudo prebuilt system, it's not a good idea to drop anymore money into it but rather start from scratch.

My 2 cents though.
