I have a 500 Watt Power Supply and am looking into upgrading my 750 to a 1070 currently. I've looked inside my PC and cannot find any 6-pin connectors to plug into the future graphics card (Not even one connected to the GPU). Will I have to upgrade my PSU as well?
Specs:
CPU
AMD A8-6600K
RAM
8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 803MHz
Motherboard
ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. A78M-E (FM2+ )
Graphics
AL1916W (1440x900@75Hz)
1023MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 (ZOTAC International)
Storage
931GB Western Digital WDC WD10EZEX-75M2NA0 (SATA)
PSU
Goldenfield atx-s500

Solution
yes you need a new PSU, that one is subpar and not recommend for a shiny new GTX1070. (EVGA G2 or any good quality PSU should do the trick)
Also, are you looking to change your monitor anytime soon? the 1070 is not only overkill for it, but it is an insult as well ;)

Alright, thanks, I'll have some wire management to take care of but it'll be worth it. I am looking to upgrade my monitor soon too, but mainly looking for performance in upcoming games before I can save up for a fancy new one. Thanks again for replying!
