I have tried everything to gt the HDMI port recognized in the audio devices windows. Nothing has been removed, recognize disable device is checked, etc. Video is great through the HDMI cable, just no sound. Read about Intel Graphics Accelerator, tried it, told not compatible with my system.

I made sure to install the Intel Graphics program from the Mainboard disk that came with the H81M-A, but all it addresses are video graphcs, not sound.

The on-board sound card is Realtek and as I understand it, Realtek does *NOT* support HDMI.

For what it is worth, the S/PDIF audio option shows up in the window fine, but the device board is not installed.

Some help will sure be appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

I have no clue what the big screen runs. It isn't even recognized by win 7 pro and there are no drivers for it anywhere. So I have screen res set to 1920x1080 and troll with that.

I just upgraded the Intel graphics accelerator for my chip and no joy. Didn't affect a thing. Still shows S/PDIF in the audio device windows and no HDMI. BTW, I didn't mention, but HDMI *IS* selected in the BIOS. (Given a choice of HDMI or S/PDIF
