Evga gtx 1060 sc vs Zotac gtx 1060 amp
Between these two cards which one will be better and which one has better cooling. Price is identical in UK.
Thanks

Solution

I agree, because then it would probably be much easier to monitor the cooling as well as the clock speeds, and either way, you will most likely be able to get better temperatures and better clock speeds with the dual-fan Zotac AMP Edition.

If both of the cards contain singular fans, then the cooling with more or less be the same, but if one has dual fans, that will be much better than the singular fan. As each brand has multiple models, acquiring both single fans and dual fans. If they're both singular fans, then they are practically the same as each other so no need to worry. Just go on which ever one you like, maybe find out which has higher clock speeds, and go with that one.

Evga gtx 1060 sc has single fan but higher factory overclock, base clock 1607 and boost 1835.
Zotac amp edition is using two fans is slightly less overclock. Base being at 1556 and boost at 1771.

Evga despite being single fan is using higher factory overclock, which makes me think that their cooling must be good. Is it so or I am wrong.

The cooling will probably be good on both cards, and I trust EVGA greatly. But it's either the decision of, Dual fan cooling vs Single fan (Dual fan will clearly be better), or having higher base clocks and boosts.

Personally, I would go for dual fan, and overclock the card myself, which is basically what I've done with my GTX 970, and the cooling is still really great.

Hi xFeaRDom
That zotac 1060 amp card is still out of stock and in the meantime I saw the GeForce® GTX 1060 WINDFORCE OC 6G card which is slightly cheaper with the same factory overclock. It is using custom pcb with 4+1 power phases, which seems to be tempting. But it has only 1 display port + 1 hdmi + 2 dvi-d. I don't have multi monitor setup yet but I do have plans to use this setup.

So do I have any disadvantage with just 1 display port of Gigabyte over the Zotac's 3 display ports.

Can you please or anyone else help me to make this decision?
Thanks

If you select OC mode, then that GPU is much better. Personally, I don't like using display ports, I tend to stick to the standards (VGA, DVI-I/DVI-D and HDMI), so there's not really any loss, if anything it is better as you get 2 DVI-D ports and 1 HDMI, rather than 1 DVI port and 1 HDMI. So yeah, good find. That card is probably better.

Thanks xFeaRDom. Sorry for the late reply.
You don't always get what you wish for. Gigabyte and Zotac went out of stock and my son's holidays were coming to an end, so I ended up getting evga gtx 1060 SC. I really don't regret it, it runs almost silent and cool despite having only one fan.
