3200hz ram with i7 6700k on an asus mother board

I am putting together a computer for the first time and I bought an ASUS maximus 8 hero mother board, i7 6700k, and 32GB ripjaws 5 @ 3200hz. The documentation for the hero has a QVL list for ram and doesn't have the 32GB ripjaws on it. I checked ASUS web site as well. I also checked intel web site but their list didn't have the 6700k on it. So will these components work together and what is the importance of the QVL?

Most likely would work. QVL won't have every ram as it is difficult and time consuming to test every ram modules.

The 6700K is fine and 3200 DRAM should be no problem I'm running a 6600K on my Hero and have run up to 48GB of 3200/14 easily. As well as faster sets. May need a bit of a CPU OC to run the 3200 at 3200
