I went through the existing threads and answers regarding BIOS update, but I would like to know if I should update onboard audio, SATA/PIDE, LAN and chipset drivers as well as BIOS or is it good enough without those updates and just proceed with OS installation?

If this is a new build then just install your OS. Depending on the driver versions, you can update chipset driver etc if necessary once your OS is installed. Same with your Bios.
