OK so this is a weird one but I really need it fixed.

So this started happening a little while back and I never really noticed it. My internet connection was fine and I could play games online and all that good stuff but suddenly things started to not work. The first thing was I couldn't view my steam inventory on the client, I would get the error

"Error code -2 (unknown error)"

Then my in game web browser stopped working and gave me the same message.
Then Google Chrome stopped working and started giving me
Failed to load web page (unknown error)

Then internet explorer started to do the same thing.
Now Firefox is the only browser that I can connect to the internet on. The weird thing is that only certain things cant acces the internet, like on steam I can view the store and purchase games no problem but certain pages give me that error.

Another thing that started happening was Orgin doesn't work anymore at all, When I open it I get the message

"COULD NOT CONNECT TO THE INTERNET
Orgin installation requires an internet connection but we were unable to connect to the internet. Please check your connection and try again. You may also download the latest version from here."

I have been in contact with steam support for the past month and they havent helped at all and I have tried every single fix to each specific error and nothing has worked. I have reset my dns settings, changed my dns settings, booted into safe mode to test the error, "same thing" ran several anti virus and anti malware scans and no threats have came up, I even ran a boot time scan and nothing was detected. I have also checked my firewall and nothing is being blocked.

I don't know if I gave enough information I'm new to forums but please if anyone could give some advice I would greatly appreciate it.

*****EDIT****
So I actually fixed the issue by running a system error checker through the command prompt

Not sure why you would contact steam about this? If there is any company you should contact your ISP should be first with any issues invloving internet, tell them a short summary of your problems and they will help, or atleast try(don't do this while already stressed ;) ).did you change any settings prior to this problem? or install any software?

But no one else on my connection has this issue or any like it. Also I contacted steam because the first time I got an error related to this was on Steam. And I didn't change any settings that I can think of but I may have installed something that had a virus in it, I don't know what tho

Odd that it only stops certain things working. Do you use an ethernet cable or via Wi-Fi to connect to the internet? if its Ethernet could you try to use someone elses on your PC that is working/try through wi-fi if you aren't already

I am using wifi with a D-link wireless adapter but I have tried it with another adapter and didn't change anything, I will try plugging it in with Ethernet
