NZXT H442 (2015 Edition) PWM fan hub headers only have 3 pins not 4

If the fan headers have only 3 pins how PWM is supposed to work. As far as I know DC fans require 3 pins and PWM - 4 pins, but the fan headers at the back of the case only have 3 pins, or I'm wrong somewhere?

What is your motherboard?

Some better motherboards can detect a 3 pin fan in a 4 pin pwm header and manage the fans using 3 pin voltage adjustments.

Otherwise a 3 pin fan in a 4 pin header will always operate at full speed.

I'm not talking about motherboard fan headers, I'm talking about the integrated fan controller fan headers in the case.
