I am an IT student and I do graphics and editing work on adobe software; Photoshop, Corel Draw, illustrator, etc.
I also do programming; c++,java,etc.
I have a Dell Inspiron N5030, Pentium dual-core 4 GB 2010 model and its has almost given up.
Last year I bought an ASUS Eeebook X205TA, a 11.6 inch netbook with 32 GB internal storage, 2 GB RAM and 10 hours of battery life on web browsing for college use. It weighs only about 1 kg. But I accidentally broke its display and spent 80$ for a new one, but the new display causes lag on the netbook and its USB ports are not working which used to work before the display damage. The mechanic says if he further went to repair it, the netbook might be dead.

So I am in search of a premium laptop with amazing display so I can do color accurate work. I'm also looking for the one which can do quite some good gaming (like GTA5).
RAM requirement would be minimum 8GB .
Processor Intel i7.
Fast storage option like SSD would be great.
Decent battery life 4.5 hrs minimum on web browsing.
USB 3.0 and all the necessary ports.

My budget would be max 2500$.

My first choice was Macbook Pro retina 2015 because of the best display and features. But people told me I cant run small apps like Turbo C which I use for C programs and need to install Windows virtually which eats storage space. They say there are many such apps that don't run on Mac.
I am also holding on for the Macbook Pro 2016 but apple is delaying the upgrade and the rumors such as 4 USB C ports and no AUX port left me shocked.
My second choice Alienware 15 because it has lots of customization options and I love things that light up!
And the fact that gaming laptops are easily up-gradable.
But it weighs around 3.2 kg which I feel might be heavy for travel.
My second choice was Asus ROG GL502 which is bang for buck but my past experience with Asus has not been good.
Other choices were Asus Zenbook PRO and Dell 7559.

I live in India so there are no brands like Razer or Aorus available here.

Well, I am totally crazy about the Alienware 15 as it is at a good price point especially for a premium gaming laptop, good display, great gaming performance and the looks!
And also gaming laptops are easily damageable.
But I am not sure would the 3.2 kg laptop be very heavy for travel. My current Dell weighs 2.2 kg I guess.
I usually carry my laptop when I have a presentation on a project. I carry it like 3-4 times in 6 months.I usually use my laptop at home.

It is not that I want a only a gaming laptop or a super portable laptop, anything that looks and feels premium and does the job.

I need suggestions folks!

Thanks,
Regards,
