Freesync Monitor 75hz and Games @120 FPS

Hi All,

I have Viewsonic Freesync monitor which has a refresh rate of 60-75hz and planning to buy AMD RX480. If i run some games exceed 90FPS. Will i encounter Stuttering or Tearing in the Display.

You shouldn't experience any of that, but if you do, you just need to enable vertical sync in whatever game you are playing, and it will match the fps to the refresh rate of your monitor.

Don't you need display port for that to work? I know some monitors will not work with out it and dvi connection wont cut it.

Display port or HDMI. I'm not sure what your solution would be if you are using dvi, some games allow you to set an FPS limit from the console, but that isn't the case with every game.
