Hey guys im wondering what motherboard is good for this pc http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04351363. Envy Pheonix 810-201no. Im getting Corsair Obsidian 750D to go with the motherboard so keep that in mind. Thank you.
i think any standard micro-ATX motherboard will fit in the HP case
HP cases usually use a proprietary screw layout... You usually cannot mount any "standard" aftermarket motherboards without drilling holes to mount new standoffs in the case.
Either way... OP wants the Corsair Obsidian 750D which is a full size ATX tower. So there's no point in putting in a mATX motherboard, it would look wrong with all the space that would be left over.
maybe he want a motherboard upgrade on the HP, and a motherboard for the obsidian case.
no way a micro-atx motherboard will look good on that case, unless a gold motherboard
Why would he want a new case if he didn't plan on using it?
I guess I'll just ask...
tipimeister, do you plan on using the Obsidian case when you get the new motherboard?
Yes i was kinda unclear in saying that i wanted to use the motherboard in the Obsidian case. What i meant was the specs like the CPU. i've seen some people saying that some motherboards are better for some cpu. Is this correct?
And if so what would be recommended?
