Hi today I got my new mobo and after I reinstalled all my parts my gpu wouldnt turn on the fans would spin for a second or two the stop for 10 seconds

There is a fix because I have dealt with this issue in the past on a friends pc similar spec and I fixed it

I then gave up and put my old mobo back in and it still didn't work
GPU Sapphire R9 270 4gb
Mobo Gigabyte 78lmt-sp2 and gigabyte 970a-ds3p
CPU amd fx 8320
Psu corsair cx 750w
Ram 2x4gb corsair xms3

Your mobo may have been received Dead on Arrival then.

As for your old mobo not working, that is a mystery. Best bet is to see if they'll send you a new mobo and in the meantime see if you can get your old one working.

I'll do my best to assist you further but I don't have any guesses as to why your old one stopped working as well.

Its worth a try, the motherboard change is almost like taking all your other parts and putting them into a new computer, so maybe you GPU doesn't recognize that you have drivers.

Its a possibility that they are installed and your problem is much deeper than that, but its best to get the obvious issues out of the way.

Yes, just put the disc in that came with your card, or go to Nvidias website and find the drivers for your card and download them.

It will come up with a pop up window and youll click "start autorun" or "run setup" or something along those lines and it may ask you about what OS you have or if its 64 or 32 bit, etc, respond to the prompts and they will install, when their finished it will say they have successfully installed. You may have to reboot your PC if it tells you to. But after you reboot (if it tells you to) then they should be installed.
