Hi there,
I'm planning to upgrade my pc. I need suggestions please help me choosing the best. While I went to a retailer he mentioned these specs and item s.
I5 6400 2.8ghz
Asus gtx 960 4gb
Motherboard Asus pro h, 170 ddr4
And ram corsair 8gb Ddr4

First of all I need to know which is the best processor. 6500 or 6400 or 6402 these are the available option. And does this ghz matters.

2) About gpu. He mentioned that Asus 960 gtx is available. Should I go for that or should I look for Msi or gigabyte.

3) Is this motherboard enough. I'm on a budget. Or Asus gaming pro h470

4) Ram suggestions. Ddr4 with 1600mh?? And which is the good brand. Corsair, Kingston etc

Is this a good Combo. A working one?

And finally the biggest confusion is about PSU. I was planning to buy Corsair vs650w normal one. Then I came to read about tier one two three etc. In my budget only tier 3 fits :(. And I don't know much about psus. Pci connector etc etc blah blah thing. Some one please explain which is the best under 4000indian rupee smps and about pci thing.
Then the cooler. Is it necessary to have a cooler? If yes please mention a low priced one.

My monitor would be dell 21.5inch HD.
Cabinet - Thermaltake n21
Mouse and keyboard - marvo gaming
Thank you.

Yes. 6/8 pin is the PCIE power connector for the GPU. All good moders PSUs have atleast one that works with both 6 and 8 pin.
Stay away from thermaltake PSUs and you don;t really need more than 450W.
1. get the 6500. The price diff. is 100% merited for the extra 500Mhz. Actually, it's a no-brainer.
2. the asus will do it's very good. though, if you can get an AMD RX 480 or 470 for around teh same price, get that instead.
3 good
4. the cheapest 1 stick of 8GB DDR4 2133 or 2400 you can get tha is made by: crucial, patriot, g.skill, kingston, GeIL or corsair

THis is teh only PSU i can recommend under 4000: http://www.amazon.in/Antec-VP450P-450W-Power-Supply/dp/B006TM8XPW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1471469109&sr=8-1&keywords=vp+450

As for cpus 6500 is the best you can see the test results here. And yes ghz do matter especially when comparing cpus of the same type and for gaming.
https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Core+i5-6500+%40+3.20GHz
https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Core+i5-6400+%40+2.70GHz
http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Core+i5-6402P+%40+2.80GHz

As for gpus, I personally like MSI and Sapphire branded cards. There isn't a huge difference, mostly personal preference.

I don't see any issues with the mobo is should be fine.

For ram corsair is a good brand, and speed doesn't really matter as long as its 1000+ and the mobo supports it.

Yes you will need a cooler. Definitely one on the cpu and probably a case fan as well.
heres a good one

A 650w psu should be plenty for a 960 and a a i5 even with a lower efficiency model, just make sure it's from a known brand like evga corsair etc. I'm not sure what you mean about pci connector thing.

What would OP need 650W for and how on earth would he get a good one of that wattage for 4000 rupees?

He said he was originally planning on getting a 650w corsair one, and I said that would be plenty for what he planned on doing.

You're right. Yeah, those corsairs are bad. And you don't need taht much wattage, OP.

Corsair vp 650 I think was sold around for 4300rs.
Thermaltake ps trs 500w. Around, 4200rs. How about that one.
Or antec vp 650p - 4999rs.

Guys will i5 6500 support pro gaming h170, gtx 960 and 8gb Ddr4 2133. First I wanna confirm that
I saw, somewhere about 6connecor pin 8connector etc. What's that

The antec VP 450 is no better than a corsair vs IMO.

Hard work finding decent psu's in India at decent prices .

If you're struggling then honestly just ignore the tier list & go with a corsair vs550 , a 6500+gtx 960 combo will barely stress it.

I ordered Thermaltake n21 versa Cabinet.. Now waiting to finalise other setups. Should I spend too much money on motherboard. Asus pro gaming and just pro is 1500rs difference. Does it makes huge difference.
Also the 6600k is available at retail shop just 1500rd more than 6500.
And antec 600w is a va liable at 4200rs.
