Ok so had the mobo break and the gpu break on my pc :'(, been a while since I looked at whats is good and whats good for its value.

So since I know some people enjoy building I thought I see if I can get some quick help.
This is the rest of my pc right now;
Corsair Vengeance - 1600 Mhz 4x4096MB
Windows 10
Coolmax ZP-1000B Power Supply - 1000-Watt
Samsung 840 EVO 250GB SSD
Toshiba 3TB Internal Hard Disk Drive

This is what I'm replacing;
AMD Radeon R9 270 2GB
GIGABYTE GA-Z68AP-D3 Intel Z68 Motherboard
Intel Core i5-2500K 3.3 GHz BX8063I52500 Unlocked Processor

So ya some decent parts hopefully on sale, and ideally off of Canadian sites if possible, thanks in advance.

You should also replace the probable cause of all of those parts dying, that Coolmax PSU shaped box aka parts-killer.

There is a huge difference between a quality PSU and one with a big number printed on a sticker.
The quality one can not only actually output the said wattage, but can do it for years.
A cheap one at best can handle a constant load of half, and most of them lack any sort of protection circuitry thus when it dies it takes out half your computer with it.

Really, if you're happy with the 2500k and have a nice overclock, there's not much point upgrading.
It only has 15% or so less performance compared to something like a 6600k, so not worth going from i5 to i5.
My Sandy Bridge i7 2700k is still holding strong in my secondary PC 5 years later, and keeps up with the latest titles no problemo.

In the very first sentence the OP said that cpu/mobo/gpu died

boosted is right CoolMax is not a quality gaming power supply line I've sold those for over 20 years. They are for cheap replacement for office machines power supplies or cheap home computers. Say it with me... You can't buy a good Quality 500w power supply for $25... it just isn't possible.

So you should change the CPU, GPU, Motherboard, RAM and Power supply. What is your budget?

Thanks for replies so for. I dont really have budget but cheaper is better. That set up was fine for running everything I play, so dont need to go above and beyond that.

Also I did mistyped, my cpu is actually still running, it is overclocked to 4.4. It's the motherboards PCIE slots that are broke as well as the video card. Brother just kinda had me convinced that if I was buying a new mobo I might as well get a new cpu as well. So I am fine with just getting a good mobo for this cpu then also need a new gpu as well. I'm open to buying a new psu as well, So can give suggestions for that. I've had this one though for years and its still running fine. RAM I would pass on upgrading now, these parts should be expensive enough for now. Though a mobo that will allow me to upgrade later would be a nice option.

Thanks again.

Awesome thanks, haha though any chance you can find something on http://www.newegg.ca/? Any other gpu suggestions? Something a little cheaper would be good if its not too far off. I know those are great values, I might just suck it up but curious what else is worth it. I have not been able to game in 2 weeks now while figuring out what was wrong, don't want to wait too long for something to be in stock.

Hey guys I hope you both realize this a LGA1150 motherboard, and it will not support a LGA1155 i5-2500K CPU. You'll be wasting your money buying this motherboard since you can't mount the i5-2500Kchip on it. You need a motherboard that is LGA 1155 and since you have a "K" processor you might want a Z68 or Z77 chipset so you can overclock. Keep in mind this is Gen 2 & 3 stuff so it maybe be hard to find. I saw this on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/LGA1155-CrossFireX-Motherboard-Z77-EXTREME4/dp/B007KTY4A6

If you are going to be using professional software like CAD for your business I would recommend getting a professional graphics card like a Quadro. They are designed specifically for that purpose. You also get support from Nvidia if you have an issue. If you call them with a GeForce card running CAD they'll tell you good luck. To see what Quadro card best matches your needs use this link: http://pnyus.quadro-selector.com/en.
