Has the pump and radiator all on top of the cpu so it only uses the space a decent air cooler would. can also turn it upright for the fan to blow horizontally instead of vertically.

very interesting product and i look forward to a review or two on how it actually performs. could be a small form factor AIO solution if it performs decently.

You'd have to use a pair of splitters just to connect that to a modern motherboard, Lol.
I admit that I'm interested in it, and I believe that we need creativity in the market, it makes for healthy competition. I just wouldn't recommend something like that until I know that its weight won't be a problem.

You also have to consider that different boards are different thicknesses and also different material qualities. I know plenty of people that put hefty cooling systems in a low end machine with like $70 motherboards and not even $100 CPUs. I'm not sure that those kinds of budget boards would like this cooler, although I agree that modern high end boards would likely not be bothered at all by the weight.

yah i looked as well and no weight. i use one of the cases that sits the mobo flat to keep the big cooler and gpu from causing issues. but yah it is clearly an issue with the board bending or breaking the slots from such heavy add-ons.

other thing missing is price. wonder how much?? probably close to $100 i'd think. usually more expensive to make it smaller.

I don't think it would be a problem with that back plate it's not like your going to tear a 4 square inch hole out of the board. But I did notice a lot of flex from the mount when it was turned. For the performance probably less than a Cryorig H7 but will have to see on that.

I thought AIO coolers were popular for small form factor systems precisely because they avoided having a giant heatsink on top of the cpu.

As far as the weight, if it turns out to be more than 5 lbs (which seems unlikely), I'd worry about it cracking the motherboard even with the motherboard mounted horizontally. That reminds me, how much did that ridiculous prototype Alpenfohn Everest cooler weigh with a full set of fans?
